About me
I’m Serina, a qualified person-centred counsellor offering a safe, compassionate space for healing and growth. My practice is deeply rooted in lived experience—particularly the complexities of living in the care system, identity, and resilience as a Black woman navigating life.
My working experience has been within Mental health for the charity Mind, where I have experienced many different levels of people needing support though their difficult points in life.
I work in supporting individuals who feel unseen, unheard, or misunderstood. Whether you're exploring the impact of childhood trauma, racial identity, or systemic challenges, I walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and respect. My approach is non-judgmental and collaborative, grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own life.
I work with clients who have survived child sexual abuse, clients from the LGBTQ+ communities and other marginalised groups within our society.
Having journeyed through the care system myself, I understand the silent grief, the questions of belonging, and the strength it takes to survive and thrive. I bring this understanding into the counselling room—not as a blueprint, but as a bridge to connection.
My practice welcomes all, everyone deserves to be met with warmth, dignity, and the freedom to be fully yourself.
Let’s begin where you are.
